A dedicated and passionate organic farmer, social entrepreneur, and a leader in the organic and slow food movement from Negros Island in the Philippines, Ramon Uy Jr. fervently champions Organic Agriculture, Slow Food, Fair Trade, Non-Timber Forest Products, Gastronomy and the preservation of our food and cultural biodiversity.

He is currently a Board Member of IFOAM-Asia (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement Asia) and played a key role in helping amend the organic agriculture law in the Philippines recognizing PGS or Participatory Guarantee System for Organic.
